PEOPLE ARE WAITING LONGER BEFORE TRADING IN CELLPHONES

According to tech industry insiders, people are waiting longer before trading in their cellphones

Two years ago, people were purchasing new phones every 2.38 years on average. These days, it’s nearly three years between phone purchases. There are two reasons for this.

First, the prices of high-end phones continue to rise. They’re often so expensive that customers need a monthly payment plan that often takes years to finish paying.

Also, the technology is different. It used to be that new phones always had a bunch of cool new features.

Now, each new model is pretty much the same as the last, with not too much improvement in quality. (Daily Dot)
