Farmington, NM –The Farmington Civic Center is about to get a little louder and a lot

more soulful as Four Corners Musical Theatre Company (FCMTC) kicks off its 2026

season with the high-energy musical comedy Sister Act, running March 19–29.

Based on the beloved 1992 film, the musical tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a

disco diva whose life takes a sharp turn when she is hidden in a convent under

protective custody. While at odds with the rigid lifestyle of the parish, Deloris ultimately

finds her purpose—and a new community—by transforming the convent’s struggling

choir into an uplifting musical force.

The production reunites Farmington audiences with powerhouse performer Koko

Blanton, who stars as Deloris. Blanton returns to the Civic Center following her

acclaimed 2025 turn as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde the Musical.

"I love that the show is happening during Women’s History Month, because this show is

about women taking care of each other," says Blanton. "More importantly, it’s about

supporting each other’s dreams, even when the dream is different for each character.

It’s about seeing the humanity and dignity of each person. Sister Act touches on themes

of resilience, sisterhood, passion, and self-expression."

Bringing this joyful production to life is a veteran creative team led by Director Randy

West, with Choreography by Sarah Harkness, Musical Direction by Steven

Zumbrun, and Technical Direction by Ed Hasenbalg.

Sister Act serves as the cornerstone of a blockbuster 2026 season for FCMTC. The

upcoming lineup includes Grease at the Sandstone Amphitheatre (June 11–July 12),

Shrek the Musical (July 30–August 9), and Jekyll & Hyde (October 22–November 1).
