Florida man assaults baby, Walgreen staff while live-streaming the experience

Police have arrested a man who allegedly live-streamed a series of crimes he committed, including smacking a newborn baby on the head with a box inside a Walgreens in Largo, Florida.

Once inside, Greenlee searched for beef jerkey, waving his money at the camera. However, according to the arrest report, Greenlee did not have enough funds to purchase his items. When the staff asked him to leave, he almost immediately became belligerent and throwing items off the counter. One of the objects, hit a two-month-old baby in the head.

"I was just so angry that I didn't even cry," the toddler's mother told WFTS. "I was just trying to be as level headed as I could."

According to the affadavit, after allegedly hitting the baby in the head, Greenlee then assaulted a male clerk who had attempted to intervene. The video then moves into the parking lot where it's hard to see what's going on, but eventually Greenlee returns to his vehicle where him companion can be heard saying he took things too far.

"I didn't do nothing, all I wanted to do is go to the store, bro," Greenlee tells his friend on the live stream.

Largo police arrested Greenlee on six different counts, including resisting arrest, resisting arrest with violence, child abuse, and a battery on a law enforcement officer. Police confirmed that Greenlee is being held in the healthcare wing of Pinellas County Jail while awaiting trial.

Sergeant Scott Gore said the incident was a reminder that people should avoid engaging with anyone who shows signs of belligerence.

"If you are ever out in public and someone behaves in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, remove yourself from the situation and notify someone of authority," Gore said.
