California is a big state with a lot to offer, but the American Lung Association says that includes some of the dirtiest air in the country.
The annual "State of the Air" report was released today and it shows that eight of the 10 most-polluted cities in the country are located in the Golden State. The Los Angeles/Long Beach area was found to be the most ozone-polluted city, followed by Bakersfield. Other California cities on the list include Fresno, Sacramento and San Diego. The only non-California cities on the list are Phoenix at number-eight and New York at number-10.
Cities with the healthiest air include Bellingham, Washington; Burlington, Vermont; Casper, Wyoming; Honolulu; Melbourne, Florida; and Wilmington, North Carolina.
