FLIGHT SCARE: Co-Pilot Partially Sucked Out Window

An airline pilot is lucky to be alive after a cockpit window blew out and partially sucked him out.

The Sichuan Airlines jet was flying at an altitude of about 32,000 feet when the windshield on the right side of the cockpit suddenly broke off. The co-pilot was "sucked halfway" out the window but was wearing a seat belt and was able to pull himself back in. He suffered only minor cuts and a sprained wrist.

The pilot recalls hearing a loud bang and then noticing the windshield was gone and the cockpit had lost pressure. Luckily he was able to make an emergency landing and has been hailed as a hero. One crew member was lightly injured, but none of the 119 passengers on board were hurt. The incident is under investigation. (CBS News)
