Amazon’s Prime Day started yesterday and ends today, which means plenty of shoppers were able to cash in on some great online shopping deals.
Unfortunately, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos didn’t have a sale on trips to space. This means, if you want to blast off in one of his Blue Origin rockets, you’re going to have to pay full price -- between $200,000 and $300,000.
Starting in 2019, Blue Origin expects to offer space tourism packages. Each rocket will blast up to six passengers 62 miles above Earth in a capsule attached to a huge rocket.
Once you’re up there, you’ll get to experience a few minutes of zero gravity weightlessness and see that the Earth is truly round. Then the pressurized capsule will fall back to Earth 20 minutes later and land safely by using parachutes. (CNBC)
