CBS dangled a $50 million contract in front of Jim Parsons but the star of The Big Bang Theory said “no thanks.”
Entertainment Weekly reports that Parsons single-handedly forced this upcoming season to be the last for The Big Bang Theory. It's run for 12 years and approaching 280 episodes.
CBS tried to negotiate for another two years with the principal actors taking home $1 million per episode. Parsons vetoed the offer. Meanwhile, Kaley Cuoco said Wednesday on Instagram, (quote) “No matter when it was going to end, my heart would have always been broken in two. Drowning in tears.”
