If you're planning to sit down at the breakfast table this morning with a bowl of Honey Smacks -- don't. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued another stern warning about salmonella poisoning after 30 more people have gotten sick.
The CDC, which instructed the Kellogg Company to recall some boxes of the sugary cereal in July, now says all boxes of Honey Smacks should be avoided as the number of salmonella cases has reached 130 across 36 states. More than 30 people have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.
Retailers have been told to take the boxes of cereal off their shelves. (USA Today)
