A self-published novelist who once wrote How to Murder Your Husband apparently knew what she was writing about -- because she was arrested last week on suspicion of killing her husband.
Police in Portland, Oregon arrested 68-year-old Nancy Crampton-Brophy on murder charges. She's accused of fatally shooting her husband, Daniel Brophy, back in June at the Oregon Culinary Institute, where he worked. Students arrived at the school and found him dead. The next day, his wife shared the news on Facebook, saying, "I have sad news to relate. My husband and best friend, Chef Dan Brophy, was killed yesterday morning... I’m struggling to make sense of everything right now."
In How to Murder Your Husband, Nancy described possible motives and murder weapons her main character would use if she were to kill her fictional husband. (The Oregonian)
