According to a new study by travel site Expedia, American workers take the fewest number of vacation days in the world. And American vacation deprivation is at a five year high. The average person in the U.S. gets 14 days of paid vacation … yet will only take 10 days, at most. That’s almost a week of vacation wasted. 54 percent of Americans say they don’t take a vacation because they can't afford it -- that's up 11 percent from 2017. Also, Americans use an average of two of their vacation days per year for things like running errands and appointments.
