A couple in Gilroy, California, are moving out of the state and across the country to North Carolina.
While they were in California, Kim Ringeisen, an Army combat veteran, and his wife, Annette, were involved in helping with the wildfires, with Kim doing search and rescue work.
That time helping with the wildfires really made an impact, so the Ringeisens have decided to donate all of their belongings to firefighters who lost their homes in the fire.
The contents of their home filled a 26-foot storage truck and include home furnishings, appliances and other essentials that will be delivered to firefighters in in the area doing their best to start over.
So while the couple are leaving California, they’re also leaving a legacy of generosity that won’t be forgotten for years to come. (KCRA-TV)
