They might not be all that yummy, but there is no denying that those colorful Sweetheart Conversation Hearts with the adorable love notes on them are the quintessential Valentine’s Day candy. Sadly, the manufacturer of these little hearts, The New England Confectionary Company (NECCO), has gone out of business -- and that means no more Conversation Hearts. Word has it that the Sweetheart Conversation Heart brand was bought by Spangler Candy Company a few months ago, and that hopefully means the cute candies will be back – but definitely not this Valentine’s Day.
