Modern Family will come to an end next year.
The long-running ABC sitcom has been renewed for an 11th and final season. Network president Karey Burke broke the news today (Tuesday) at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. She said, "In its final season, there will be more milestone events that anyone who has been a fan of the series won't want to miss."
On Twitter, star Jesse Tyler Ferguson wrote, "Will be hard to say goodbye. Love my family."
Over the years, Modern Family has won 21 Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series five times. ( E! Online )
